Chicago Bound!

Well, it is official.  We will be moving to the Chicago area (somewhere around Aurora) by the end of the year.  Brad was offered a supervisory position at the Chicago Center.  He accepted it and now we get to move.  Hopefully Grandpa and Grandma Anderson will be able to help us move.  We  are excited to be moving closer to family.

Happy Easter!

The week leading up to Easter was spent doing many Easter Egg hunts. We went to Brad's work for an egg hunt but do to some miscommunication, the kids missed the hunt but got to see where Daddy works. Good thing the Old Cannery Furniture store was having Easter activities. We went over there and the kids got to pet some animals, do an egg hunt, see trains and get their picture taken with the Easter Bunny. Then, the Saturday before Easter, we went to the Easter Egg Hunt that was put on by our church. It was held in our old neighborhood, so the kids got to see some friends.

Here is Benny picking up eggs.
Here he is with a full basket.
These are the only eggs Timmy was wanting to pick up.
Here is the picture with the Easter Bunny. This is actually a picture of the picture that was taken. Our scanner decided to quit working today.
The Old Cannery Furniture Store had this giant bunny as well.

Big Boy Beds!

Over the past few weeks, Benny had been coming into our room at night complaining that he hurt his leg or had a bad dream. We thought it might be that he had out grown his toddler bed, so we went out to find him a new bed. He is the proud owner of a twin mattress and box spring from the Old Cannery Warehouse. We then had to go buy some sheets for it. Benny chose a sports theme for his bed with matching red sheets (since red is his favorite color). Since Timmy turned two, we decided to put him in Benny's old toddler bed. So now each boy has a new bed.
Here is Timmy's new bed.

Benny's new bed!
Here is what their bedroom looks like now. Although there is usually a lot of books on the floor.

Seattle Aquarium

This is a juvenile Big Skate. It kept trying to climb the side of the tank. It looked like it wanted to walk.

Can you hear the ocean?

Okay, Grandpa, this is where we need to go!
Grandma and Benny surrounded by jellyfish.

Look mom, it is an octopus!
We had a great time exploring the Seattle Aquarium with Grandpa and Grandma.

Timmy's Birthday

Riding the Monorail in Seattle with Grandpa!

Timmy's favorite at the LeMay Car Museum.
Off to the South Hill Mall to play with Grandma and Grandpa!
Dinner at Dennys after we picked Grandma and Grandpa up at the airport. Grandpa is helping Benny with the word search puzzle on Benny's menu.
Timmy's Lightening McQueen cake I made for his birthday.

I cannot believe that my baby boy is two! Grandma and Grandpa Anderson came to help celebrate Timmy's birthday. We did many great things. We went into Seattle to ride the Monorail and visit the Aquarium. We went to the mall to play and visited the LeMay Car Museum.

Sunny Days

The sun has made an appearance the last few days and it has been warming up a bit. We ventured outside and took a walk. We stopped at the playground in our apartment complex. The boys sure had fun.
Silly Brothers!
Timmy is quite the climber!

Having fun!

After being cooped up inside due to the wet and cold weather, it was nice to go out and soak up the warm sun.

Fire Trucks

The MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group that I attend planned a trip to our local fire station. Here I am with Timmy. He didn't want to wear his hat, so I did.

Benny whined and complained until it was his turn to sit in the fire truck. He didn't want to smile, but you can see he was having fun. He kept saying that he was grumpy. I think he was coming down with brother's cold.

Here is Benny having fun at the fire station.

It was fun. We got to take a tour of the station and look at a ladder truck. I don't know about Benny, but I sure learned a lot about what goes on at a fire station. Plus, Benny and Timmy received new fire fighter hats!
