Riding the Monorail in Seattle with Grandpa!

Off to the South Hill Mall to play with Grandma and Grandpa!
Dinner at Dennys after we picked Grandma and Grandpa up at the airport. Grandpa is helping Benny with the word search puzzle on Benny's menu.
Timmy's Lightening McQueen cake I made for his birthday.

I cannot believe that my baby boy is two! Grandma and Grandpa Anderson came to help celebrate Timmy's birthday. We did many great things. We went into Seattle to ride the Monorail and visit the Aquarium. We went to the mall to play and visited the LeMay Car Museum.

Sunny Days

The sun has made an appearance the last few days and it has been warming up a bit. We ventured outside and took a walk. We stopped at the playground in our apartment complex. The boys sure had fun.
Silly Brothers!
Timmy is quite the climber!

Having fun!

After being cooped up inside due to the wet and cold weather, it was nice to go out and soak up the warm sun.

Fire Trucks

The MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) group that I attend planned a trip to our local fire station. Here I am with Timmy. He didn't want to wear his hat, so I did.

Benny whined and complained until it was his turn to sit in the fire truck. He didn't want to smile, but you can see he was having fun. He kept saying that he was grumpy. I think he was coming down with brother's cold.

Here is Benny having fun at the fire station.

It was fun. We got to take a tour of the station and look at a ladder truck. I don't know about Benny, but I sure learned a lot about what goes on at a fire station. Plus, Benny and Timmy received new fire fighter hats!

Lazy Days!

A great way to start the day, playing Lego Indiana Jones on the Wii with dad!

Nap Time!

Snow and Ice

Well, we survived the Seattle "Snowmagedon" as they were calling it around here. Last week we had a very big snow event happen. All in all we ended up with about 6 to 8 inches of snow and then about an inch of ice on top of that. Thankfully we did not lose electricity in the apartment, but a lot of our friend did. Some of them went for days without power. It has pretty much all melted away now. Here are some pictures that I took over the course of the storm.

Here is the ice on the tree beside our deck.

We received about a 2 inches of snow on our deck.

The rest of the apartment complex.

Our neighbor across the way has a bird feeder so we have had some visitors on our deck.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

The month of December has been a busy one. The first full week we went on vacation to St. Louis, Memphis and visited Lisa's parents in Illinois. Brad was checking out two possible job opportunities. The kids had a great time with Grandpa and Grandma and their Aunts and Uncles.
The day we flew back to Seattle, Brad found out that he got the go ahead to do what the FAA used to call "Fam Time". He would be allowed to fly in the cockpit of a commercial airplane. He originally set it up to fly Dec 18th to Philadelphia and return on the 21st to Seattle. The next day (Tuesday), Brad received a call from Allentown Tower. They were calling to set up an interview. Brad said that he could do the interview in person. So, no sooner than we were home, he was off again. The interview went well and he arrived home hopeful. Now we play the waiting game. We should know where we will be moving too by the end of January.

On a different note, Brad usually works on Sunday mornings, but he was able to get a later shift so he could watch the boys open their presents. Benny was excited about every gift he opened. Timmy had no interest in opening presents. He found a toy bus in his stocking and was content walking around with it.

This last week of December was spent getting the Christmas cards out as well as some last minute gifts. Brad has been home with bronchitis and Timmy has been running a temperature the last few days. Both seem to be getting better.

Halloween 2011

These pictures are from a few days before Halloween. I had the boys try on their costumes. Timmy was a little lamb and Benny was Indiana Jones.

Timmy was so cute!

Here is a picture of the back of Benny's shirt. There is a big spider!
Here is Benny with the whip.
Here is Indiana ready for his next adventure. His friend Dayton let him borrow the hat, shirt and whip. The jacket (which it was way to big) I bought at Goodwill.
We went to the old neighborhood to do our trick or treating. We met up with our old neighbors and went with them. Benny went to a lot more houses. He was braver with his friends around. Benny and Timmy had a great time. Can't wait until next year!
