Aunt Leslie & Uncle Steve's Visit

Benny had a great time with his Aunt Leslie and Uncle Steve. He went to many different places. He went to Westport to see the ocean.

On his birthday he went to the Woodland Park Zoo. Aunt Leslie took him to see some neat birds.

Also on his birthday, he had fun riding on Uncle Steve's shoulders at the Seattle Aquarium.

What A Week!

Sorry I haven't updated this recently but I knew alot of things were going to happen so I wanted to wait. Just to let you know in the past week Aunt Leslie and Uncle Steve came to visit, Benny celebrated his first birthday and Brad got a job offer from Allentown.

Yep, Brad was officially offered a job at Allentown. We don't know when Seattle will let him go yet, but we are looking forward to going back to the east coast. Besides Allentown, Brad has put in bids at Harrisburg and recently Norfolk, VA. (I really, really, really hope we get an offer from Norfolk. It is so close to the beach!) When we hear something we will let you know!

More Teeth

Today I when I went to check on how Benny's new teeth are progressing, I noticed that he has two more trying to break through. The other upper molar on the left side and one on the right side on the bottom right next to the teeth he already has. I am kind of glad they are coming in a bunch at a time, but I don't envy him. The poor guy has been a fussy eater, but if it is cold and he can chew it, he is fine. Today he had cantelope, frozen peaches, frozen carrot sticks (I had aready cooked them and then froze them.) and a frozen mini bagel. He likes his frozen waffle in the morning. If anyone is wondering what to get this kid for his first birthday, I would say Teething Toys!

Look what I can do

Here is a video of Benny making noises and showing off his throwing ablility.

Update

Well we hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Brad had to work that night, so Benny and I went over to our friends house. Benny didn't seem at all affected by the fireworks going off in the neighborhood. In fact he went to bed at 9pm that night and didn't get up until 8:30am the next morning.

On another note, I just noticed yesterday that Benny is cutting some more teeth. Brad and I have noticed an increase in his drooling lately, but couldn't find the source. Well, yesterday I was playing with Benny and noticed that he has another tooth coming in on the bottom left side in the front. I also noticed that he is getting one of his front molars on the upper right side. That would explain why he has been wanting to chew on EVERYTHING!

We found out that we have until Monday the 14th to hear whether Brad was accepted at Allentown and sometime in August to hear about Harrisburg. Brad told me that Allentown/Harrisburg have 90 days from the day the job posting is closed to make a decision and inform the people selected. That doesn't mean they will contact him if he doesn't get the position. So far, no news from either place.

Messy Eater!

This is Benny eating plums and I think brocoli.

Speed Racer in training

Our neighbors just moved to Wisconsin and Benny inherited toys that they were unable or unwilling to take with them. This tricycle was one of them. Benny cannot reach the pedals so he likes it when I push him around the back yard.
